The fabric is truly special. handwoven from Handspun yarns in a broad herringbone, this one is all texture. Plant based indigo dyed yarns in the warp are crossed with black yarns in the weft that have been dyed with recycled metals and sugar. Horn buttons, 100% cotton stitching thread.

Hand or machine wash cold/gentle setting and hang dry

One of our foundational fabrics, first developed with our first fall grownups collection. The original inspiration was a tweed jacket worn by Jean-Michel Basquiat. We used handspun cotton yarns for added texture.

Handspun yarns are shorter in length and when the shuttle runs out of yarn a new spool is run and the ends of the yarns are tied off, resulting in a small thick knot - intimating the textural slub and nep of a wool tweed.

The yarns here are hand dyed with iron, and plant based indigo, then handwoven in a thick, wide herringbone pattern.
