Inspired by vintage French chore coats, The Study Coat is unconstructed, with patch pockets at the exterior and interior, and a slightly dropped, modern notch lapel. . A boxy, straight fit, with slightly shorter sleeves. Finished with flat felled and french seams, its so clean you can wear it inside out. The fabric is truly special. Our fine handwoven military herringbone, the texture is subtle and beautiful. Yarns are dyed with a mix of myrobalan, and tea. Bone buttons, 100% cotton stitching thread. Machine wash cold and hang dry.
One of our favorite fabric and print developments, the paintbrush camo is inspired by 1940’s Denison Camo, the first issue rumored to have been hand painted with giant brushes. We developed 48” screens, print with levels of water diluted iron paste, and overdyed in the iron vat. Printed on our light weight organic cotton mill woven canvas
Horn buttons, 100% cotton stitching thread. Machine wash cold and hang dry. This will have some color transfer for first few washes
