A new style this season, THE BIG SHORT takes a nod from vintage USN military Gunner Smocks paired back to tailored pants detailing from the 1920’s.

Built with an oversized fit, detailed with a tall waistband, wide buttoned belt loops, and 4 deep pleats at the front, THE BIG SHORT pairs perfectly back to our new Gunner Smock. Also pairs effortlessly with The Reversible Lake Camp Overshirt and our Study Jacket, all produced in the same military herringbone weaves and colors. Offered in both our iron/indgo powerloom herringbon, and a natural, undyed colorway.

The fabric is woven on vintage powerlooms, inspired by a vintage WW2 military weave that is comfortable, durable, and versatile enough to wear in all seasons. The yarns here are dyed by hand. Warp yarns (visible on the reverse of the fabric) dyed to a deep blue with plant based indigo, and weft yarns (visible on the face of the fabric) dyed black with iron.

Chetan is 6’1” and wears a size 4.

Machine wash cold and hang dry. To spot clean please use gentle detergent or dish soap. Do not attempt to clean with Stain Remover, or citrus based cleaners as the acids will interact poorly with the iron dye.
