Our Classic Matty Shirt is now a part of our Core Collection. Here it is in iron black kala cotton, a naturally organic wild growing cotton indigenous to Gujarat India. The yarns are dyed with a mix of recycled metals and sugar and then handwoven in the finest twill. The drape of the fabric is perfectly seasonless. We’ve updated this classic with a beautiful hand embroidered trapunto stitch at the collar and decorative embroidery at the chest pocket. A classic fitting shirt, single tailor construction finished with french seams, and built to last. Due to the hand dyed nature of the yarns and natural dyes involved please expect to find shade variations from garment to garment and occasional banding (which may appear as variegated striping), these are not imperfections, they are the beauty of the textile and why we try to work with yarn dyeing as often as possible. Cold water wash with like colors and hang dry. Abi is 5’8” and wears the sz 3.
